what do you put on seat put on seat to keep it going?

Mine doesnt have a sensor on the seat. Nothing fancy like in the pics - i have an old EZ-steer and use the free EGNOS/WAS signal. Kit was mostly 2nd hand, although if I sat down and did the maths the higher tech stuff would probably pay as I work on about a 20cm "overlap" to take account of the lower accuracy or 10cm left or right of the signal. On a 4.5m cultivator doing two passes I can see the payback is not very long.

i have a claas combine with a claas gps system on it, its as much use as tits on a bull. what would be the best option to make it usable. I am talking 50cm accuracy if your lucky, it really is crap. I have rtk greenstar and the other tractor has Sf 1 which is far better than the combine by a mile.
combine is now 3 seasons old , going to chase the dealer to help out but all i want is something that will work !

cheers in advance.

Ok,
I can supply a system to steer through the current Claas valve.
You will need a Topcon screen and receiver and a few other bits.
But it can be egnos, Omnistar g2 or full RTK!

right

is there not a way of improving the box we have?
just spent ££££££ on this system and basically will need to buy another system.
If we were going down that route a univeral hub and our Greenstar boxs would run it.
Thanks for your reply by the way, just dont know the best and cost effective way out of it.
Have claas improved their own systems?
would it be worth chasing them as they are saying it should be accurate to 20 cms, but its not just the accuracey its the way it works also, if you increase the respose to keep on line it ends up tank slapping down the line!!! which is quiet enteraining for the first 4 locks then gets a bit annoying!
baler man was not a happpy bunny either.

Class atu has worked very well this season in terms of accuracy

We did have a problem with the control box needing replacement so had 3 days over bank holiday without steering.

Not as good as a topcon x30 though to use

There are three discos that look like that!
My colleague covers the southwest. I can be seen around the southeast. Covered 45,000 miles this past 11 months!
How far north do you go, would it have been you that gave Hartleys the guided tour of their x30 while i was there at Three Holes?

Don't want to sound like a numpty but how does the auto steer systems handle an auto level combine on a slope?
Someone will be along he knows more than me! We had a jd t550 on demo last year and it worked perfectly I believe it's all wired up to work in harmony. Our fresh combine is a older hillmaster(without autosteer) it's amazing how much the header moves as you go along going from full to overlapping and vice versa.

no one we had on demo they had to narrow header a lot to make up for it moveing

No..... Putting receiver on header is not answer. You'd get terrible shading from combine. Leave it on roof. It will always be a slight compromise. In non hillside they are 100%. In hillside/auto level they are 95%. The cab not only moves side to side but up and down creating a figure of 8 movement.
Did some testing on one tonight. It's now perfect.

Glad it isn't just me then. During a very brief drive of our autolevel combine this year i watched how much of an overlap you get from the header as it and the body moves, made it very difficult to take the full width at times but that also may of been the operater hence why i asked the question, and don't even get me started on unloading on the run from an autolevel across a slope

Thank you rob, you make it sound so simple. Knew some one would havevan answer.
