My father actually trained as a fire and rescue man in the RAF before he started farming. In two years he attended two aircraft crashes. The first crashed and exploded on impact sadly killing all on onboard. The second landed on its belly and the crew were running towards him and were safe by the time he arrived, after which the plane exploded and vaporised the foam they were directing on to it. He reckoned you could have got what was left in a wheel barrow.

We use our 3000l water bowser with a honda pump. We have made a 1" nozzle and tap for the end of the suction/delivery hose.
Often used for field fires and usually have made a start before the fire service arrive.
