Problem lambs

Have a 2 week old set of twins that I just can’t get going.
The mum is very low on milk so trying to top them up but they are reluctant to take more than 50/60ml before stopping sucking.
They are weak, hunched up and clearly need the milk. We started topping up after a few days and they quickly got used to the bottle then drinking a whole bottle between them but now they are not interested.
We’ve been tubing them to keep them going but don’t know how long we can carry on doing that.
Could anyone advise on anything else to try?

Hi, It is disappointing when that happens. If they need tubing, they might not have had enough colostrum to protect them from watery mouth.

Three things to check: What's their temperature? Are they able to pass dung? Are their bellies a bit swollen?

Suspect watery mouth in any case, and talk the vet. They'll need appropriate antibiotic, and some nursing.

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
