Project Binky - Some very smart Fabrication!

I think it's hard to appreciate sometimes, how much extra work must go into making a video of a project over just the project itself.
Yep, doing bits to camera can take lots of time up - even for pros, then you've got all the editing stuff to do & that's all without actually doing anything on the car! Then of course there's the whole thing of earning a living somehow & family stuff etc! There's been a bit of banter over how long this project has gone on compared to other channels, but the likes of MCM, Skid Factory, etc are mostly doing it full time as part of their job!

I think they’re spending far too much time and effort on this lorry, just buy something decent in the first place?

Surely the time is better spent on the Mini?
You could say the same about Binky.
All that time wasted when they could just go out and get themselves an Impreza, and put their talents to something useful like restoring a tractor!

I must be missing something with the Escargot. :scratchhead: :scratchhead:
They bought a Cargo and fairly much ripped near all the box to bits, then they bought a Daf and have transplanted the engine, box, front axle, and now the rear axle.
Would it not have been easier to stretch the Daf or buy a long chassis one and build a box on it???
Must be something Im not getting?

Love their projects and attitude though, Binky episodes are a must watch here.

I think that was what they've come to realise - hence the comment towards the end about "liking the cargo...."

Agree, seems a lot of effort compared to stretching the daf and transplanting the body,

I think its to do with the Cargo’s taxation class and the fact it can be driven on a car license without them having to pass a class C1 license. I’m sure they mentioned it in one of the first episodes. In hindsight I'm sure doing the C1 and stretching the Daf would have been far easier.

Yes, I've heard them say that as well. I believe it got mentioned in Ep.4 as well.

There's a 'Howie did it' out now.
You'd have to be pretty dedicated (or bored) to sit through an hours film of someone's hands stripping a gearbox!

Probably this evening then!
(In my defence, it'll be on in the background while I get on with something else . . . like falling asleep maybe!)
Edit: Falling asleep in a good way, it's very soothing viewing.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
