Cyclists fear nothing.

I’ve had them swerve around drain grids without so much as a glance behind, so close I could barely see them in front of me.

I could, but salt is bloody horrible stuff and if the ground is hard we would sooner be spreading on land in the day than on roads at night.

Still got most of Octobers and all of November’s lime spreading to do here

Keep well away from the salt, horrible stuff.
Boss hired a loadall for clamp work, it had been loading gritters with salt for a few seasons, rust all over, the salt dust gets everywhere, even corroding the wiring loom, causing all-sorts of problems with bad connections.

used to go and drive through a ford a few times after to help wash it off, if you went fast enough the wheels would come off the ground.

Been a good opportunity. I'm still waiting on soil results so can't get going.

No, the ground is too wet and the frost wasn’t hard enough to risk it. Be hell of a mess if it broke through the crust.
