The thought police are pretty tough - new welding rods/wire have caught people out before.

Only problem I see with it is you can't replace the barrel if it cracks or splits without a grinder? Very good job otherwise I'm going to borrow the idea and make my own.

tut-tut Speedy - clear indication of a tape measure use, no coat-hanger/wire spikey welds, no spatter or porosity, no sharp edges, equal spacing on cross bars & you've even got absorbent granules for spilled oil on the w/shop floor

In 25 years. + we have never had to replace a barrel ,first ones we made had no bars on the drinking part of them and you always get the odd lamb that thinks it should have swim in one ,so we started to put the bars on them and never had one in a trough after that

A wheelie bin makes a quick and easily accessible one, away from traffic areas.

Wheels/axle obviously removed for a later project.

Had 200 litre blue drum under a static caravan steps as septic tank.
Holes around it half way up to let it drain.

Coming round to lambing so thought I would sort this hinge which had pulled out of the door. Cut up an old cubicle to make a sleeve and a washer off an old telegraph pole

One end of pliers Millimeters from other terminal.
