Quickfencer question.

Hi, complete novice here.
Does a quickfencer tension as it unrolls? Or does it just unroll and then rely on a tension pull at the end?

Have an idea for a 'one pass' fencing system for putting up temporary stock fence around cover crops which can be taken down easily and put up elsewhere.

Using metal stakes and an air hammer to put them in at the same time as rolling out and tensioning wire. Am I mad?

Yes your mad, you will pull the strainer over or snap wire on your joins pulling at tension.
you need a 5 tonne machine minimum to pull wire tight.
Quick fencer reels out slack then pull at the end, if it was under tension it will catch the vertical wires and move then or bundle them up

Are the quickfencers any good, got a fair bit of fencing to do and was thinking of buying one as it’s a fair bit cheaper than a solonet one and miles cheaper than a profencer. Is it worth adding a barb kit to it and frontloader attachment? When tensioning to corners do you stop short and tension the last bit by hand?

If you were trying to do it in one pass, how would you keep your driving in a straight line. Any deviation and you'd have curvy fences. I'd keep it to separate passes. Even if you unroll netting as you put strainers in and then go back for the metal posts.
