How long do you like the crop to stay dry after spraying. Was out today with trace elements chlormequat and sulfonylurea. Most of it had over 2 hrs but I stopped in the last field cause it had started to spit rain. Was nothing much for at least an hour. Hope it ok.

Some agrochemicals actually work better with rain post application, you need to consider their mode of action, same goes for spraying on a wet leaf, only reduces efficacy is there is run-off, most sprays will work better on a damp leaf. Complicated topic, that is just a precis......

years ago was told not to spray within 2 hrs of sunset, something to do with plant shutting down then dew helping run off better to spray onto a drying leaf ie after dew gone ,dont know what anyone else thinks but still try to do it, but now maybe more to do with like to get finished as better things to do of an evening

No Problem it will be all good. Drying times are only for down pours and worst case scenarios.

Years ago i was spraying grass and weeds around the farmyard when a really shower of rain fell, The weeds still died so i would not worry. If the leaf was dry when applied it wont wash off easily.IMO

Should have said it rained heavy after the first hour of spitting rain. But going by your replies I think it'll be ok. Still haven't got the sprayer emptied though. Hope tomorrow is a better spray day.
