RAL paint code for Case red (current)

As the title says; does anyone know the correct RAL paint code for Case IH red (current) please - I have a trailer on build and they will match it up if I supply the correct code

Don't quote me on this as I'm not sure. Also Case red is unlikely to be a Ral colour. The type of paint the trailer manufacturer uses and the sheen level will also have an influence on it. But I think the closest is Carmine red Ral 3002 as seen in this picture below. Your best bet is to google image the code or buy a sample tin to try. Its an irreversible mistake if you get it wrong!

Case have their own colour formulation. If you speak to brown brothers(ppg) they supply the paint for new Holland and case. They hold the correct formulation for it. Nearly all manufacturers have specific colours now. More like the automotive industry.

The other option is take a panel to your closest paint supplier and have them spectrometer it. That’ll get an exact match to your current machine.

Here is your answer and some very sound advice. One of our neighbours has a collection of modern and classic Case machines and has a new trailer painted in the old Case IH colour RAL 3090 and I thought that looked really nice behind a new Case.

I’m sure it would look close in colour but not be the exact case red. A bit like 6018 is close to Deutz. 6038 is close to merlo, 5017 is close to new Holland. They all derive from ral colours but have moved away to more specific formulations so people have to go to them for paint. Fendt new colour is £75 for a 750ml paint.

Manufacturers have been using non standard colours for many years. David Brown power red and orchid white don't have RAL or BS codes and any tractors painted with standard colours don't look right.
