Ramsay Valve Help

Hello.

I‘m having an issue with a Ramsay valve leak on a sprayer. It was leaking when I bought it, put another set on and it was ok then started leaking so tightened it a bit and so on until it just started leaking a lot during chemical adding when the pressure is high. During work it doesnt leak, say at 1-2 bar. Anyway put another set on and it’s done exactly the same. Started leaking, tightened it, was ok for a bit then leaked so tightened it some more etc.

Am I doing something wrong or is there a fault somewhere? photos attached, difficult to see but the rubber seems to get pulled inwards.

Appreciate any help.

As above; needs to be tightened equally like an engine head. Having said that; if you get a squirty bottle with some soapy water in and get squirting you can tweak the bit that’s leaking a little if it is warped. Mine sometimes leaks sometimes doesn’t. Usually leaks after liquid fert has cleaned all the gunk out!

Are you sure your putting the seals in the correct way round…can’t remember off top of my head but they are different each face I think…anybody impart the correct way of the top of there head…ring sprayer spares at metheringham who make them and they will help I’m certain with a diagram or tell you the correct directions
