I emailed Trimble correction services. They sent me an unlock code for an extra 1 day Rangepoint sub...which worked fine. Then after that for some reason it started to come back and work ok.
Just before the weekend it was taking around twice as long as normal to get an rtx correction signal, then it would only see around 12 satellites. Put it down to cloud cover or thought it was something to do with Brexit and turning off satellites.
Seems back to normal today.
Interesting. I had trouble all week with extremly slow convergence. I could see at least 10 birds but could take up to 15 mins to converge. Once converged good to go and worked fine till any loss of signal (trees etc or switch off). Then again at least 10 mins to converge again. Works fine once it converges but a pita!
The cynic in me feels that rtx has been dummed down to push us to the more expensive "fast" version
Update on last post. I updated my xcn 2050 to latest firmware v11.100.083 from greenfield ag site on Monday. Although still very slow to converge after being switched on, it hasnt missed a beat during the time working. Even when lose signal under trees it snaps back quickly. So hopefully a fix...
