I have someone asking if I can have a pair of 30ft containers there his containers and just storage. Know him well just weighing up if it’s worth it, how much would one charge for having them in the land need no electric etc as he’s hardly ever in them literally mostly just storage,

so essentialy it’s just ground rent for the space they take up plus a bit for access

£20/ week if their own container (20ft) or £35 if ours

Unless this is being done on a proper legal tenancy letting agreement then I'd swerve it, more grief than its worth, need a proper legal agreement for when he's no longer your mate, he'll undoubtedly have friends who are dodgy & arrive with him at some point who then will arrive on their own when no ones about & depart with stuff they don't own.
If you are dead set on it google industrial storage rates, remember he needs the space you don't.

Stories around of folk re:hiring to others, who filled them with hazardous waste etc... and then did one, leaving hirer & land owner high & dry.
Also of others (or family of) taking ownership after some years.
The point being be careful and it needs a contract whatever you choose.

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
