Well IH used that looped rod idea on the PUH on their "74" series tractors so if they got away with it why couldn't MF?It was likely hood of folk getting their fingers trapped in loop that saw the end of that design

thats why i have changed to rods, chains are now under the bench in workshopRear wheels
Our 168 had that type of hitch with the chains, a bloody awful arrangement. I would rather have had the old Ferguson "T" bar type PUH than that thing .
