Rats in Dyke bank.

I seem to suddenly have a lot of rats in a Dyke Bank Which is now collapsing,next door neighbour had beet and I have fodder beet.The Little sods are living the high life.Ideas to get rid ,Could bate but would they eat it.

Probably no longer PC but the old fashioned way was a bean tin full of petrol and a match down the hole. Make sure you throw the match as it goes with a woooof.

Provided the dogs are well trained a couple of ratting ferrets are even better than 2 stroke smoke.

I know two brothers who poured petrol down rat holes in a bank and set fire to it.
It was very effective!


Except. . .


. . . One rat, very on fire, ran out of a hole, across the yard, and went into it's 'safe place' of a straw stack.
On the bright side, any rats in the straw stack were disposed of too!!
