Rats in grain store

Hi
Anyone any ideas how to stop rats climbing the diagonals into a grain store.

I've put 15" pieces of tin around the diagonals at a perpendicular angle, however they seem to be able to get over these no problem.

I don't really want to use sticky pads as this seems quite high maintenance and expensive in the long run. Was thinking of smearing grease on, unsure if this would stop them..
Thanks

Where there’s grain there will always be vermin. Plenty of bait points about, anywhere they make a run, and I don’t like sticky pads either but there’s no real alternative inside a grain store.
I don’t think grease will help much but anything is worth a try.

You need to find where they’re living before they come in to the grain store, target them before they get there. Look for the holes under the nearby hedges etc
This. Clear ground all round the site/building you are trying to protect. Rats and mice do not like open ground, ideally place some shelter in the form of bits of pipes with bait inside along the sides of the building.
