Our Welger RP435 needs re chaining, does anyone know the lengths and specs of the chains needed so i can have them ready to fit when i have time.
Is there anywhere that sells all the chains as a kit for the baler or is it just a case of getting lengths of chain and also what is the best make of chain to fit

We just rechained our v660. It has all part numbers in parts book that came with baler, this has chain size and links.

We got them from Neil at bearing basement. We just used diamond chain the same as is fitted to McHale balers from new. They sell complete kits for McHale, not sure about Welger. The main chain on McHale is a endless chain. The box it came in had McHale stickers. The original chains did 43k bales so if these do the same I'll be happy.

They were about half price of McHale dealer.

Time will tell if they are as good quality as original.

Packaging looks genuine. Perhaps he just has some McHale stickers!

Will give them a ring in the morning to see if they do a kit for a Welger(y)

Did you have any luck? Need a main chain for a 445, put a cheap chain on at start of last season it’s probably only done 7k bales so far and has broken 3x already.
As per call, please find prices below for Diamond chain -

20B-1 x 129 - £109.00
12B-1 x 102 - £22.00
12B-1 x 76 (two required) £17.80 each
16B-2 x 76 duplex - £64.45
16B-1 x 71 - £37.45
12B-2 x 22 duplex - £12.80

Hi this is the quote I have received about the chain.

I hate those balers. I can't tell you how many chains were broken while everyone was trying to learn it. When people neglect to make a bale it gets too big and wont fit through the hallway so it has to be taken out on the sales floor, through the other door, on the other side of the store.

Don’t knock it too much the boot is on the other foot here and we are trying to build a new life in France which without the help of google translate would be very stressful! However having said that some of the emails I have sent have caused quite a lot of hilarity here and with the recipients! I find it best to translate it back before sending just to check!

Are you sure they are the right lengths , the two 16 b for the rollers are not on that list.

I rang Bearing Basement yesterday with the chain lengths, he is sending me a quote by email for diamond chain cut to length but not heard anything yet
I sent an email enquiry this morning. I’d be happy to take a 5m length an cut it to fit, there’s not much left over iirc. Will have to get some more joining links locally if they are going to be slow to respond
I think its right but i will double check against the list i sent him, these are chains for a roller baler
must be a 235 you have then? That’s a good price for the 20b, I priced genuine the other day at £261.

That's what I thought too!

Sure my 435 was a belt baler.
