Re roofing Dutch barn

I just love these old Dutch barns and if it was mine I wouldn't hesitate to reroof it.
Love them so much I built a new one. New ones are made out of girders rather than angle iron for some reason. An angle iron one would last longer than me.

Don't c them with rolled girders often. What width is it? Plenty purlins to. Be a great house

15' bays, same footprint as most around here.

Please be aware when using Teks I have a shed reroofed about 30 years ago and the Teks have rusted out didn't realise until some of it blew off.

What do you advise best to hold the sheets down

I think there are stainless steel Teks. I haven't repaired as intending to replace the building completely and have wooden purling's and Fibre sheets. J bolt outlasted the previous sheeting which wasn't galvanised.

Where did you get the rolled RSJ's done? Got one here that really is past it re resoratiom, 4 bay wide with a lean to on the back. Looks a lovely building.

The shed was supplied by Minshall Construction, Market Drayton @Minsh I told them what I wanted and they arranged it all.
There was a firm on the internet that advertised rsj rolling to your own requirements, I doubt it was Minshalls themselves that did the bending bit.

Scroll down to the red one and you can see how they approach it. Any shed builder can do that without needing rolled steels. I do like my rolled steels all the same.
