Recommendations for motion detectors, a wifi network and camera coverage

As the title really. I got my workshop broken into last weekend and lots of tools & the quad bike stolen.

I need a temporary fix for the workshop. It's locked every night and ally needs a motion detector with a loud alarm. Any recommendations?

I have poor mobile coverage, so want a wifi mesh covering the whole yard so I have communications. This would help a camera system. Does anyone do this and cameras?

Some visible dummy cameras and some live ones more discretely. Again, any recommendations? Farmers Eye and Agricamera are 2 names so far.

Ultra secure direct. I bought some wireless perimeter lasers. Shat myself though when it went off late one night. Realised it was a piece of silage wrap blowing into it !

Had the same here the first time my alarm went off after to many late night visits and getting it fitted, woke up and flew out into the yard, thankfully a false alarm as I realised a few moments later all I had grabbed was a pair of shorts

Serious question, what would you have done if you had known the scrotes were in your workshop?
Is it likely that enough police could have got there in time to help, or would the sole patrol have had to drive from 20 miles away, to arrive just in time to call an ambulance for you..

Serious answer - I'm not going to confront them, but I will make enough noise that encourages them to go away quickly. I doubt there will be a team of coppers close enough to actually turn up mob handed and catch them but by knowing they are there, that chance has increased exponentially.

I gave a WiFi network around both my yards with WiFi thrown a couple 100m easily enough, in fact I can pick it up over a mile away if line of sight is ok.

This runs a number of cameras which send a loop to the iCloud fir 30 days.

So far so good.

What I would like to add is a siren on a pir inside the workshop I can activate when I like.

I do use WiFi plugs in the workshop to turn on and of fence energisers from anywhere on my phone.

Might be able to cobble something together based around that?

quite an easy DIY and you will save a fortune doing so - loads of stuff on amazon and ebay etc and a lot of people on TFF and specialist forum who will give you a shopping list and instruction

also quite a few out the box solutions on amazon / ebay that are plug and play for anyone capable of hanging a picture !

I will add also that in my experience CCTV is a waste of time and money - all it gives you is the pleasure of watching yourself being robbed - the police won't use it and it doesn't deter criminals
but if you also rig the workshop door so anyone trying to prize it open gets zapped with 1000volts, that would deter most of the lowlife and we can then all have a great laugh when the footage is shared.

It is reaching the point where we need to go full Keven McCallister on the chieving tunts, the law is no deterrent!
