Do we really need “assurance” when we are all supposed to producing to UK statutory requirements anyway, whether we pay into RT or not?
There used to a free quality mark. It was sufficient to say “Made in Britain.”
That’s good enough for me.
Ah but think how much money you could make if you could have a company that has folks paying you to gold plate existing standards for no financial gain for them!

hmm I’m maybe onto sumat here. Think I will ring Tesco and see if any of there directors want in on a big salary for doing sweet FA!

As a self employed RT auditor of 17 years, having met many, many fantastic farmers and tbh enjoyed every minute of it good and bad l also feel absolutely sold out and her comments have probably wrecked half of my business income. Thanks for nothing. Monday’s audit is going to be interesting.

Well we don't enjoy it and we probably all lie to you to keep you happy

yep :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
Sorry couldn't resist
Lol.

but Seriously all the inspectors I had were really good guys, definitely trying to help and get the job done, it was the office / staff that turned me right off in the end, condescending to put it mildly, and I was paying their wages .
all the twaddle stuff as well, totally wasteful, the souffle was well and truly spoilt by too much egg.

Depends on your auditor. 99% of mine are happy to see me.

I have just been in touch with the red tractor inspector and he has sent the attached docs which indicate what he will need uploading – I feel physically sick as this is going to take an age. Damn covid!

A sentence from an email I received at beginning of October from one of the farms I visit. And this comment has been mirrored around the Fens since Covid. The lady pointed out all the documents were in same filing folders as the previous years visit. And this farm is an A++ compliant farm and business.
