Reliable electric fence box

What’s the recommendation for a mobile electric fence box? I’ve two Rutland ones here that have given up . Just don’t seem reliable anymore . Not needing massive one just one for keeping cows in a bit of rough grazing . Not a big run of wire really.

I've got a Speedrite one from Rappa that has done 4 yrs so far OK.
Just bought one of their basic black ones fair bit cheaper, and 3 yr guaranteed. Worth a punt I thought, since modern Gallagher/Rutland seem not to last long.

I bought a couple of those seven years ago. Apart from a couple of leads needing new ends crimped on, they've been faultless.

I also bought three Patriot fencers from RAPPA at the same time, which they were stopping doing, but the same as those cheaper black ones they do now. Sealed units so can't be repaired, but they were £70 each at the time iirc. 2 have failed this year, the other is still going.
To be fair, the 2 Rutland ones I bought at the same time are still going too, but I wouldn't hesitate to get the Speedrite ones again.

Had a mvf D3500 one for about yr.... 2.5 j (output ) about 130 quid before vat. Seems fine even if it has got fair rained on at times . Must get around to building a little box..

More power to shock / gain more respect than my other Gallagher ones .
the sheep dont like him at all (y)...
Strip grazing fb atm 2 rows at a time but they wont graze the 2nd row right down as they're scared of their ears touching the bottom fence wire :nailbiting::ROFLMAO:

I thought those patriots had one hell of a kick for what they were.

I thought about it, and by the time you factor in postage and hassle, concluded might as well put money towards a new one....
