Remote tank monitoring

We need a system for monitoring remote tank levels like fertiliser and diesel. Preferably to an iPhone app.

Has anyone used any of these systems? I want to avoid paying for sim card contracts and we could use wifi...

Any thoughts?

Gallagher nz does a remote water tank level monitor system. It might be able to used in that application.

Watchman make tank monitoring systems for fuel tanksbut I don't know what they do for larger tanks.

Spaldings do an app & sensor for smartphones. It's not as pricey as you would think.

ilevel Richard, contact Andrew Rabbet. Works well for us on big tanks. We have it on 6 fert tanks and 2 fuel tanks. Had a tank drilled or shot at Houghton last year, this prompted us to invest as that could have been far worse than it was.

Sounds good. Do they all require a separate sim card contract? I'm thinking a WiFi based system might be the way to go?

You will have to ask him. Ours are Sim Card because the tanks are in 4 different farms with no WI-FI.
