Galvanised frame, stainless spinner and plastic (polyethylene?) hopper, covered in layers of dried on magnesium oxide. Any ideas? I don't have a steam cleaner so my only option is cold water pressure washer, elbow grease or some kind of magical chemical which will dissolve the substance and not the spreader.

Update on this for anyone who cares:

Cold water blaster/pressure washer didn't work
Hot water blaster didn't work
TFR didn't do anything
Soaking it with water on and off for a few days didn't do anything
Soaking it in diesel didn't do anything
Soaking with a slightly acidic and slightly caustic solution didn't work

The air chisel made short work of it though
