Removing nails from asbestos roof

I wouldn't really want to be snipping nails from underneathe azzy without the full protective clothing and respirator thing myself. That's even if you've sprayed it with pva as a sealer. Not too bad if you hit it with the pressure washer to make sure all the dry overlaps won't produce any dust.

Get some crawling boards and do it from the top, you could hit them with the gas axe?

Using cutting torch would produce more dust than manual cutting, but vise grips quickest and timbers are clean, if you start at the top and put the hook of ratchet strap into top they are easy enough to slide down the roof

Gas ax is a bad Idea I've tried it the sheets pop and red hot chunks of asbestos fly off it fooking hurts

Thought the 'nails' had a plastic spacer/seal under them. Should give loads of room for the use of a gas axe with the correct sized nozzle on it and not blow the asb. Angle the cutting head up away from the sheet and should be fine.

When we dismantle buildings, generally we use a cherry picker from underneath with bolt croppers. But at times we have used crawling boards and had the tops off with the stihl saw. You can do everything from a cherry picker if you know what you are doing.
