Removing track idler wheel JCB 8014

Hi

Trying to remove the idler wheel assembly from my JCB 8014. After some beating, it has come half way out but will not pull all the way out. The assembly is attached to a spring which goes back to a plate which is pushed by the adjustment screw. Have tried to remove all the crud, have jet washed and scraped inside. Any tips on how to remove the rest of the assembly?

Thanks

Patrick

Still no luck getting this ?!?1 idler wheel out. I've tried the bucket, tried pulling out with the winch on the quad. Tried banging it out. There just seems to be no space for it to move. Sprayed a lot of lube in there. The plate at the back is just getting stuck on the side walls of the cavity.

Is the frame distorted enough to pinch it

I think it could be. Every time I make 1mm of progress there's a burr on the inside of the channel as if there's not enough room. My plan was to remove the whole assembly and then take a fraction off the plate so it moves more freely - but can't get it out. I was wondering about disassembling the idle wheel brackets from the spring but I can't get to the bolts. I'm presuming the spring is under a lot of tension so removing the spring's castellated nut not an option?

Mine is a 2010 machine and also a bolt. The picture is what I assume mine to be.
If you have a spring, this must be yours,,,, an earlier machine..

I wouldn't expect the spring to be under much tension. The bolt and nut arrangement will just hold it in place. Pressure will be applied by the track tension adjuster No 15..
