Renault 103 54 slow hydraulics when cold

My 1990 103 54 is very reliable apart from the Hydraulics, I have to let her warm up 10 mins in the summer but longer in the winter. When warm the arms and steering are fine and she will do a days work with no problem like hay turning , cultivating etc Any ideas why she is slow in the morning , maybe time for a new oil pump

Now I know nowt about Renault tractors but the first 2 things I'd be checking are...

1 - Is oil the correct grade ? To thick & it won't flow properly until warmed up a bit.

2 - Is there a suction filter that could be partially blocked ?

You say it's fine once warmed up ? If indeed it is ok when warmed up, pressures & flow both within spec, then I'd suggest your pump is ok.

suction filter on off side just in front of the cab at bottom and high pressure filter on same side up under the bonnet, both need changing, suction filter held on with jubilee clips, make sure a good fitting socket on bottom of high pressure filter fits well as it will be very tight, replace O ring on that filter as well, it should come with the filter
that should sort it

Now Then..
If the arms are stuck at the top, are the PUH rods bent?? It's unlikely to be the pump causing that.
4wd is mechanically engaged with a lever as I recall so again,,,, not the pump..
The high pressure filter only protects the steering circuit.
Is the suction filter clean??
A flow meter would help,,,, 🤔

Steering get tight aswell sometimes and the 4wd is on a button over on the left at window rods a free and doesn’t seem to be pumping arms up all these problems are down to one thing

With being a 54 series, 4wd will be hydraulic disengagement via a button,
Also being a 40k box, it will have pressure fed lub to gearbox and wet brakes.
If the high pressure filter is blocked or restricted this can throw up faults on the hydraulic side of things, as there is a oil splitter block in the system, this shares oil between the the hydraulic power supply and lub / cooling of box, this block has a shuttle valve in it and can stick if dirt ingress is present, from memory it is situated on right hand side of tractor under front of cab.
As for the hydraulic not going up or down, then there is a linkage from cab to hydraulic control block on backend, that linkage has R clips for quick release when putting the cab up, look to see if it has come disconnected, as moving the leaver in cab or back won't let the hydraulic lift work if not connected,

Sorry to be late on this thread, I run two Renaults.
to be fair they have done me very well, the alternative is to spend a fortune on something that may be no better.
but both are giving me hydraulic grief.
the 80-34 px which is fixed to the hedge trimmer because the hydrauli lift arms gave up years ago, now a seal has gone on the front of the pump, letting back half oil into the engine. I did f##k with it and replaced the seal now the pump won’t suck up oil. I have purchased a new pump, do they need bleeding🩸 because having replaced the seal nothing now works.
the 106-54 (magnificent tractor) is slow in the mornings but once ”warmed up” works all day. I have replaced both suction filter on the tractors. One auxiliary spool on the 106 now doesn’t work. How easy is it to fix.
any help or encouragement gratefully taken.
thanks.

Try loosening the pipe fittings on the pump outlets. Crank it over a bit or let it start. Stop is sharpish as there'll be oil everywhere. Tighten your pipes and see how it goes.
Such pumps don't recondition well, you may be ok with a seal. I have a friend who had a Renault with a loader on and did the buckraking. We used to replace the pump every 2 years ish..
