Replacing hydraulic arm stabilizer with hydraulic ram?

Thinking of replacing the stabilizer on my tractor with a hydraulic ram. The potato planter I have has no steering on it and It tend to drop down hill. I was wondering if I put a hydraulic ram on the hydraulic and pushed it up hill a bit do you think it would work.?

Did that on my mccormick cx for pulling veg planter.

A single acting ram replacing each stabiliser.

Works a treat.

What size rams did you use?

It does work i have seen plenty of hoovers and planters modified this way

yes does work need double acting ram would go with min 35 mm rod planters now are heavy we had one on a john deere worked well
