Getting prices for trailers, was only interested in a couple of brands, both sold close by. Got one price which seems a little higher than i would like, so though i would try another dealer who i did purchase a machine off last year. Rang Wednesday morning, spoke to girl on phone, chap you want is with a customer, I will get him to ring you back. Friday morning now and still not heard back from him, do they deserve the business? Its a small family run business as well that i would want to support, they sell good brands as well.

I think this is worth another go. Can you get said salesman’s direct number off the website or something?

I'm so wound up about this at the moment. I ordered a grant funded bit of kit back in January and agreed delivery by the end of February. The manufacturer won't answer his phone and will sporadically respond to messages. The latest instalment is that he has one ready to go in his yard but can't deliver it until he has made up a load to my part of the world (about 50 miles!) unless I want to pay extra for delivery.

My concern is, i wanted to place the order by the end of this week, lead time etc.
I could ring again, then wait to see if he rings me back or not, if he don,t,another day gone then were into next week, there is probably not much in the price anyway, so best to go with a firm that has given me a price and completion date. Just nice to have 2 or 3 prices on the table.

Have you tried to buy a car in the last few years? Farm machinery salesman are a joy in comparison.
we bought a new golf sv 6 yrs past nov. on the 6th anniversary the salesman rang me asking if i wanted to change. i said " no money" and he said that's what finance is for. i said wasn't changing anyway, maybe next year. so not all salesmen are the same.

my experiences are its rare to get good service ? the more you spend the worst it seems to be ? buy a item from a supermarket have a problem, sorry we will change that, no problem ? phone up about a property? a case in point we sold a small lump of land, first agent we approached to market it got all stuffy when they diddnt want to market it at our price , other one has now sold it ? Toyota , well product is good but the salesmenship ?

I'd be off for it if it's on grant
