As above now agritrac exports appear as a depot on the hrn website the last time I enquired about something was put through to a central switchboard who then took name, number, stock number etc. then a salesperson phoned back with all details to hand. That was all fine but you now don't know whether the item is a showroom model and a known service/repair history or trade/export quality and which part of the company your dealing with which may be the problem with the OP'S tractor and its faults. He lists both companies in the headline.

Could I just mention trust.
I try to only deal with people I trust.
if they don’t have a certain item I’m after I will either get them to get it for me or if I come across one myself I will get them to use their contacts to get it looked at for me. It isn’t that hard and saves a lot of hassle

It’s just petty tightness, as everyone said if it’s such minor issues then why not put right before sale?

it’s how people resolve issues that’s the big thing in deals and it would appear there not bothered,

however it does depend on what the receipt says, but to be honest he’s not a business so regardless it’s cannot be sold as seen from a dealer if I understand correctly.

I bought a tractor blind as I wanted something very specific, I asked about dealer on here a lot to make sure they were honest and had a decent transaction.

While everyone is saying he should of gone to see it, if it was me and none of the faults were advertised or mentioned I’d be pretty pee'd off driving all the way to veiw something only to find out it wasn’t as described.
Ah but if you gone to see it you then are able to get a feel for the set up and having viewed the tractor can decide if a busted Wireless is a deal breaker or not….

plenty times we been to view stuff and said yep will have it as long as X,Y,Z is sorted before delivery

Yes and got you to throw the machine on my trailer👍

Edit- I also recommend @Dave W as a trusted person to buy things from. In fact I’ve bought more stuff from this chap unseen than everyone else Put together.

edit- Dave is that plug good enough for the 50% discount you promised me on my next purchase?

I think that's as much about it as seeing tractor, getting a feel for the people and setup.

I like buying things off farms privately, or from whole farm dispersals for this reason.

I also like selling our machines privately off our farm for this reason. Last tractor I sold the guy said he'd rather buy it off me than other one he'd viewed for that reason. 😘

Always put sold as seen on invoice.

When Chae1 Bought one of old diggers he flew down in the morning, coach from London and picked him up to come and look at it. Hour here and back again in one day. It pays to look but once i have built up a trust with someone i do lots of things on video call. Saying that i bought a hooklift trailer off the barclays unseen no issue whatsever!

Years ago when I was a kid father rang up about an international 475 we couldn’t get to see it immediately but the fella posted us some Polaroid photos of it, he said it was immaculate and we already had one we were running at home. When the photos came it was bloody rough I’m not sure if he ever went to see it but he didn’t buy it.
Just shows different people have different takes on the matter but the fella was being honest sending the photos. I suppose he was trying to sell it he wouldn’t say it was a dog
