We have a VMS, I feel Lely engineers are robot trained only which is an advantage , Delaval are supposed to cover all parlours as well. I have long argued with both Delaval and our dealership that we should have specialist Vms staff but to no avail. If I ever decide to renew, it may well be a key factor in the decision making process!!!!

Do any of you with robots have the Lely Discovery barn cleaner and if so what do you think of them??
Got a discovery with the farm modernisation grant 4 years ago, it does a great job really notice it when not working or gets lost overnight.

Does it get lost often???!!!!!
Only if I forget to clean the sensors. Usually get reminded when it happens a couple of times!

Are they OK at cleaning Iargish non slatted areas - if the robot is put in at back of shed it will have to clean a fairly big area maybe 50' by 30' running across the top of the slatted passageways?
