Has anyone put 2 robots in where the entries are in the middle? If so would you be able to tell me how far apart they are? De Laval robot but anyone with an older lely that doesn’t have entry at the end would be similar. Thanks

Think that is the way lely recomend so should be plenty about , Though ours are other way so we can divert cows onto the straw yard

That farm has just startedup.6 robots going at the moment and 2 more starting shortly.

I always thought that layout was used more in existing sheds where there wasn’t sufficient width to fit them the other way. We were advised for best results a cow should be able to see the robot from anywhere in the shed. To allow the more timid cows to see if they were empty among other reasons. I think everyone has different preferences though.

That looks a bad idea to me. We have a toll booth setup and 1 big cow can block both entrances. Has to be big though. That setup any cow could block both robots.

Yea. How do you get on with it? As @Spear said my worry is 1 cow blocking both. I have room to separate mine out but if I do that too much leaves a lot of wasted space. Trying to find a balance

We find no issues with them being like this we have 5 in a row all touching each other. We even have two right hand ones next to each other and one exits where the other one fills. The cows just get on with it!

Both of ours are close together works really well! Don’t worry about cows blocking

Move between 2 x & 3 x
Just need to watch the numbers carefully & if anything changes go back to 3.
More likely to have probs in summer we found
