If i did everything to the book 3 robots, compressors, vac pumps and bulk tank/buffer would be would £54/day just to service!

Out of interest do you run a service contract on your bots ? Our 3 cost out at £7200 for all service labour and consumables

no, have never had the option to.

Any DeLaval V300 users here? Are you having any bother with the ACR's not pulling up the Teat cups? Had this problem the last couple of nights and did not know if the cold weather was to blame or just a coincidence.

Not sure about Delaval but have had that in the past on Lely. The cords grab as they go through the guide. Heard of folk spraying antifreeze on the cords to cure it

How clean are the stainless steel slides inside the cabinet as looks very similar to the classic vms but I maybe wrong but a muck build up on them will not help or lubricants as just makes them sticky and slow.

Yes but you’re near an engineer or two.
Once I thought I was going to have to pay travel for one all the way from Norfolk....

Moisture in these can stop them allowing the vacuum to get to the ram.

Spoke to a lad near here with new VMS and he said they have had a nightmare with them freezing.

That can happen with any robot or parlour if not protected enough.

We had pressure switch on borehole filter catch this morning.
Put small amount of warmth on it and away it went within 30 seconds.

Running a robot can earn you more per day than a tractor would!

But can it? Doing well to get 100litres per hour. 26p odd with us, tractor and man £30/hr. ok not 24/7. Tractor maybe easier way of earning money, I’m finding cows awful hard work at min

They just take notions of lying on the floor, and then pull up, I think the valve that lets the vacuum in is jamming, I don’t know if it is freezing or just faulty.

my classic would be getting tight/slow (2 years old), once a week I take the amplifiers off and spray into the tubes while the clusters are down

Guess you mean try some silicone spray what you mean?

Had issues on gate of parlour this morning. Half a pint if hot water and going again.

Yeah, to lubricate the tube to allow the pistons to move more freely, I use WD40 PTFE
