Rowing up hay on a windy day

Ok I think I know the answer to this but, is there anything you can do to stop your windrows blowing across the Feild on a windy day?

Having a bad time of the hay making this year and every time I think I’m getting somewhere another problem knocks me back. After a smashed knotter frame then some rain we get a brake in the weather and it’s too windy!

That would be a possibility, I was just hoping to get it turned tonight ready to bale tomorrow and got me thinking what can you do when it’s windy.

Worst I ever remember was rowing up for a neighbour about twenty years ago when my Haybob was literally throwing the hay into the pick up reel of his Claas baler with the Haybob gates always less than six feet from the baler intake.

It was a bit dodgy at times with both of us always ready with the brakes but it was honestly the only way of baling that afternoon, with rain forecast and the gale force wind taking away anything resembling a row within seconds. Good experience though!

this must stick out 25 plus foot in front of the driver,so he says he has cameras on the front, yet with no signal or picture on 1 camera he still pulls out onto a road, not only will it be illegal and braking the rules of the high way code, he posts it on youtube,

this is really a case of some really taking the pish,

the other day just to get finished we ran the loader tractor up and down the swathe to flatten in front of the baler , not ideal but a quick fix at the time with what we had there at the time already rowed up .
