Hello! My name is Emily Terry and I am in my final year of studying Agri-Food Business Management at the Royal Agricultural University, and I am preparing to undertake my dissertation.

I am interested in exploring the impacts of post-brexit agricultural policy, including the phase out of CAP and BPS and the introduction of SFI's, and its impacts on farm business structure, strategy, and income.

Additionally, I am interested in farmers opinions of farming being politicized to achieve environmental goals and what this means for farm businesses going forward.

My work title for my dissertation is 'Examine the impact of post-brexit agricultural policy on farm business structure and strategy in North England'.

If you are a farm manager/owner in North England, I would appreciate your engagement with the research. Please find it here: https://rau.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/3-ueqrfgm2-11

The survey shouldn’t take longer than 15 minutes and almost entirely multiple choice questions.

Also, I would like to extend an invite to an interview if this is something you would be interested it. It’s entirely optional and has no effect on the survey. Please email me if you are interested. [email protected]

Thank you for your help!
Emily

by brexit i really mean post-brexit agricultural policy so losing CAP and direct payments. I'm looking at the governments fixation with a 'green brexit' and agri-environmental schemes that don't necessarily fix into farming activities. my research is primarily about policy-making and trying to bridge the gap between farmers and government

sadly i agree but research focusing on farmers lived experiences can at least provide a platform. agriculture is the backbone of the rural community and I personally have concerns about what it means for my family. my dissertation tutor is keen to get my work published in an academic journal so every response goes a long way

Thank you again for everyone's engagement with the research. I have had 22 responses but I would be grateful for a couple more before I close my survey

Looking at what is happening in the EU I'm not sure brexit has made any difference at all. Until there is a major change in the standard of politician and civil servant I don't think we will be any better off, but that doesn't mean we'll be worse off either.

I'm not in the North of England otherwise I would fill in your survey. We in wales have a whole different level of over educated retard running the show here.
