The last chap leading it sounded promising but I suspect that he was forced out of the job by the fascists who have ruined its reputation over the last couple of decades. They are obviously getting even more cocky and arrogant now that he's gone.

This sort of stuff terrifies me, imagine the RSPCA turning up on your farm and forcing their way into a barn and there isn't anything you can do to stop them. Least with Trading Standards there is oversight and due-process, the RSPCA are accountable to no one other than their donors, who want flashy news stories and headlines.

Yes but you have to remember that RSPCA employees are 'officers' and have an uniform to go with their 'status'. It makes them feel and behave like very important people with authority.
They seem to be wanting even more authority above and beyond even what the police have, with none of the accountability. The last leader, now departed, wanted to roll that confrontational style back and make them a more friendly and advisory service to animals and the community, but he's obviously been forced out by the militants.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
