Matt Frei on LBC/Ch4 news had some interesting background on Kyiv Rus, It's Christianisation, and how that may be forming Putin's plans. Kyiv predates Moscow

The suggestion Kyiv is a temple mount for Orthodox Christians, so is that maybe why he hasn't blown it to bits yet? Will Putin settle to take Kyiv and land east of the Dnipro River?

well quite apart from anything else the regimes of iraq and libya 'predated' their own population pre invasion.....i'm no blair fan but in his own words 'he did what he thought was right'....as the leader it was his call to make

i'm real non interventionist so i was against those wars anyway

putin has gone into a peaceful country on no real pretext and his useless army couldn't pull off a 'coup' so it's back to stalin's red army bombardment/scorched earth

and yes perhaps being european does make me more sympathetic to the ukranians....so guilty

Some on here deluded they take the moral high ground whilst Tony Blair a war criminal who was responsible for the deaths of millions of innocent civilians has been awarded a OBE, typical Labour supporters.

The Iraqis and Libyans didn't ask to be invaded, neither did the Ukranians. NATO made the decision,

The Ukranian president has been egged on by NATO, the fool went and took on Russia.

NATO pulled back and left him to it, that is the honest truth. If you feel so strongly go and fight, the government have made it clear they have no objection to anyone going to help the war effort.

Millions? Not even that somewhat questionable study from Brown University goes that far. I'm no fan TB & do not believe that he should have received on OBE.
