We got this Terex 72-11 in 1976, it’s a 1973 machine, and it was in full daily service until 2008, where a second 72-11 took over and this became a parts backup.

When the manitou arrived in 2018 they were always on borrowed time, and this one went away to the scrap yard yesterday. What a lump of weight it was. They are coming back for the complete one on Monday / Tuesday

Sadly, not of any use to me, but I bet some of those heavy machinery preservation specialists would like it. Must be a rare thing, as I don’t think I’ve seen one.

The issue with them is that parts are non existent. I’d guess at less than 5 72-11 models being in the UK, even google brings up nothing much at all. It’s almost like the model didn’t exist.
