@AF Salers I Know and I didn't do it to get in an argument, both breeds have there place and fit well in to British conditions. Good luck at the sale, I understand we have Scott Donaldson taking the sale, he is Joint MD of H & H. It should be very interesting. Salers have a little Lincoln in them way back as they were used to revive the breed after the war!

Go and advertise your Lincoln reds somewhere else!

He asked about a saler bull.

Coincidentally one of my friends is having a fair time trying to calve heifers to a lincoln red. Said he'd have to put Lincoln red on saler cows in future.

Yes, it pisses me off when someone feels the need to push there chosen breed all the time. Different breeds will suit different management styles, areas etc. If a breed is perfect farmers will soon work it out and they'll be everywhere.

How many posts about Lincoln reds have you made this morning?

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
