Looking at a 2002 model and the transmission appears to be Agroshift. Does anyone have any experience of this? Is it as hopelessly unreliable as the mf Dynashift or is it something completely different? Is there anything else to be aware of here. Help needed.

Not me I’m afraid. I have my views on the Same Silver but not enough personal or near direct experience of them. Certainly not that new a version. The main thing I remember is that inceased emission compliance made them fill yards up with white smoke on a first cold start of the day. That’s when they went from stage1 to stage2 compliance. Not sure whether later ones were actually water-cooled, using the alternative Lambo/Hurlimaan version of their 1000 series engine.
Stage3 killed off the air cooled engine and they went Deutz.

Yes Agroshift has three splits with five gears then three or four ranges, plenty of gears. Had a Silver 100.6 with that gearbox, plenty of overlap in the ratios and nice to use, mistake was selling that tractor.

Is it manual shuttle or power shuttle ?

A 2002 Silver 110 would be a water cooled six cylinder. The same as a Silver 130.

The previous Antares 110 and 130 models would be an air cooled six cylinder engine.
The three powershifts are generally reliable, its the synchros on the actual six gears and shuttle that are a little weak if abused.

The Silver 110 became 4 cylinder at roughly the end of 04 or early 05, but these tractors used the smaller back-end as found in the earlier Silver 100.4 air cooled versions.
All good tractors in my opinion.

Thank you all for your thoughts and comments, Now I know a bit more about it I can try to actually see it. It is a repossession and is locked up in a secret location.

If it’s a repo chances are it’s missed it’s last several services and general maintenance, when money’s a problem you tend to skimp on this stuff

. I'm in France and it seems to be the way the hussiers (bailiffs) work. Put it out of the way of the previous ''owner''.
However, same applies in France as in UK, if it seems too good to be true, it usually is Thank you all for your caution.
