Anyone got one? Any good?

Ahh, yes! i have had several. xcover 2, 3 and 4. Recently upgraded to the new xcover 7. I really like the xcover 7 dispite it being alot bigger phone! BUT i have noticed a significant drop in the vodafone signal its recieving! At home in the house i have gone from having VERY poor signal to nothing at all and at my workshop/Office i have gone from having okay to VERY poor.

The local vodafone shop blamed themselves for switching off there 3g network which is probably right and so i put my old vodafone sim card back in my old phone and bought a THREE sim card for a month to test there network.

Now the vodafone sim in my old phone is back much the same as it was before so clearly some of the problem is my new xcover 7 phone BUT the temporary THREE sim card i bought is in the xcover 7 and i have the best signal in my house i have ever had (3bars) and in the office at work it is a constant 1 bar and works just fine rising to 3 bars when outside and 4g data for internet is also much better than vodafone.

It would be interesting to put the THREE sim card in my old xcover4 to compare it that way!

About to investigate switching to three tomorrow as vodafone contact runs out this month, tried to get a PAC code tonight but as i have 3 numbers on my vodafone account and want to move 2 of them i just get a message saying have to call them

One thing to note about the Xcover 7, they claim in the specs 6GB memory. THIS is not exactly correct! It is a 6GB memory but only if you switch on RAM plus which boosts it from i think 4GB to 6GB by using some of your phones storage space as a virtual memory. So it does not have a dedicated 6GB of memory.

Camera is alot better than the old xcover 4.

Dad has the xcover 5 which seems okay, i just gave that one a miss since didnt seem any point buying an already old phone although the 5 is still ready available. xcover 6 is oddly alot more expensive than the new 7.

I should add i have never yet managed to kill any xcover! although i have had a really good attempt at killing this new 7 already, at 2 weeks old it fell in the toilet:X3: then a couple weeks later fell in the bath tub:ROFLMAO: so it is definatly water resistant.

Text 'PAC' to 65075.

Yeah I know that, but I got reply back saying to ring as more than one phone on account.

Something I thought would happen which was why i asked in store only for them to say it's fine just text it. 😂 amazes me how many people there are doing there job day in day out yet but don't know naff all about the products there selling 🤣

Guess not everyone usually have multiple numbers on the same account. Different rules for personal and business customers I guess.

I did my best to explain this to the store but he insisted i could just text that number off each phone i wanted to switch. I knew it was never going to be quite that easy :ROFLMAO:

Are you able to login to your account? Sometimes it shows each of the number associated within the account allowing you to do specific services such as request PAC or change plan based on your contract.
