I have gone and run my Sanderson 625 (1992) out of fuel. I do not have any instruction books for it, never been able to find one for a 625. I believe it has the Perkins engine in it, does this one self prime or do I need to bleed it and if so how.
Thanks in advance.

At that age you will need to bleed her assuming its a perkins. These are general instructions for bleeding a Perkins engine.
First find the fuel filter, loosen the bleed screw on it if fitted, if not loosen the pipe which feeds the injection pump, then find the lift pump, this should be on the other side of the engine from the injection pump. Pump this till bubble free fuel comes out of your bleed point, then tighten it. Pump again till the lever feels less resistance then loosen the bleed point on the injection pump and pump the lift pump again till you have bubble free fuel.
Then try starting her, if no white smoke after 10 or 15 seconds wait a minute then try again. The wait is to avoid frying the starter. If still no joy loosen an injector pipe, preferably the one with the highest exiting point on the injection pump.
Crank again till she shows signs of starting then tighten the pipe up. DO NOT PUT YOUR HAND NEAR THE LEAKING FUEL IF SHE STARTS
Switch off and tighten.

Plastic elbow to top of tank blocks often.
There is a water trap on the inside of chassis near gearbox.

To bleed just pump the lift pump. No need to undo anything on filter or pump.
The air will go back to tank via the return line.
One the low pressure side is bled, undo the injector pipes and turn over on starter till fuel comes out. Retighten pipes then start it.
