Sanderson Brakes

Have an old Sanderson 6-22 Teleporter2. I was pushing up the muck heap earlier and when trying to hold the machine the brake pedal isn't solid, it creeps slowly to the floor. The reservoirs levels do not seem to be going down.

Is it the master cylinder seals?

Could be yes. would have thought it would be loosing fluid though. might just be air but then how did it get in there! air can be drawn in via the master cylinders sometimes.

I have a pair of new cylinders in stock and a pair of seal kits. Seal kits often don't work as the bores of the cylinders are often pitted.

Is it external dry disc brakes or oil immersed disc in the wheel hubs? could be either on a 622

Its sounds lije and internal leak ie no fluid

Are the hoses from cylinders rubber if they clamp them then try see if it creeps if it does then cylinder seals

If the pedal feeeels good try clampin the flexi pipe to the brakes until padeal firms up then atleast you have and idea

There are rubber pipes running from the cylinders where the pipes exit the cab. I will see if I can clamp them in the morning.

if you look under the dash and press pedal by hand which ever cylinder rod is traveling the furthest is the circuit that's the problem.

You might have the seals gone in one hub but as that hub may have naturally got back pressure within it as there are no breathers on the hubs that air build up could have pushed passed the blown seal and let air in that way but still keeping reservoir full, I get this a lot on the manitous!

If you narrow it down to front or rear first then try bleeding them to get the pedal back then you can blank one hub brake off at a time till you find the problem one or if its the cylinder.
