Is there much to see other than the ploughing? Many trade stands? The website is decidedly lacking in information.

I'm considering chucking myself and the lad on an easyjet and visiting for a night or 2 as we missed out on going to the Irish ploughing as typically those 3 days were one of few dry interludes this season.

Is there anything else agricultural or otherwise interesting to a farming mad 10 year old we could go and see on the Sunday in the vicinity?

Trade stands, machinery dealers, parts specialists will all be in attendance along with some pretty decent ploughmen
If the weather is favourable then it should make for a decent event, if not then it will be bittery cold, wet & miserable.
A few large farming enterprises up that way, John Scott at Fearn Farm being one, would be an interesting place to visit.
Be aware its well up the country & anywhere north of the central belt they 'eat their bairns' - you have been warned
