Looks fantastic, once you’ve done it in the luxury modern vehicle maybe the TFF collective should get a few of these and do it really old school. 😂

Alan is a great friend and complete landrover nut. He has a very important and responsible job so not sure i can post pictures of him !

During covid when under travel restrictions we both fitted roof tents and converted Defender 110’s to a “overland” spec and took them to up Scotland with our families

We had such an amazing time and kids loved it so much we have since done Wales, west coast Ireland and Northern Spain - all of which being the most awesome trips camping off grid etc

best holidays / memories ever ……. can’t see us ever being happy in a fancy hotel again !

few pics of the 110’s on those various trips

Bit of a thread hijack, but for anyone else who fancies a bit of continental 'hooning', this is an absolute giggle:

It's an event that's run for a while now, started as a bike thing but opened up to 4x4's 30yrs or older a few years back - combination of hotels and camping off grid in some seriously remote spots with medical and mechanical support, its not a race (........... officially at least !)

Prep and packing nearly done now - should be quite an adventure

let me know if this is interesting or not, if it is I will share some pics of the prep that's gone into the 2a over the last few weeks and will try update on progress along our route, I might even pack a go pro ! if not I will shut up and just enjoy

It’s not a school mums car , my Defender has fitted tool boxes and goes to work everyday, my wife’s Defender …….. er er er takes our daughter to school . Ok you were half right !

to be fair my poor opinion of the new “Pretender” changed after doing a few thousand miles in a 110 p400e my dad had until recently …….. it’s actually a really good car

Perfect excuse for some of the younger members, who seem to often post about upgrading the boots and remapping their 15 year old Massey/John Deere/NH etc to to catch up with the neighbours latest carting gang. Chamberlain's, An Aussie maker, built a tractor capable of 100MPH+ in the 1980’s to support rally teams in the outback .
