Batteries have been around £500 per tonne for some time the price above is less than half of what they were worth

The heavy copper isn’t exciting either

I did wonder,got 4/5 ton mixed scrap,they won't be getting it.

I have been stung a few times in past always ring for a price now even if I am on my way with it once you have tipped they have the upper hand. Mixed is £200 so you know what to haggle to. I would call them and say they have robbed you on the batteries so they need to offer you over £200 on your mixed to put it right.

But no bin charge, against £200, with a £250 bin charge,
So will be better off £ wise ,

They might fluctuate but £225 is taking the pee. Especially when someone posted on here they had £480 less than a week before. You can’t tell me they’ve changed that much, that quick.

No its a negotiation and if you don’t negotiate prior to getting there you struggle unless you are there every week. Then If you aren’t happy you don’t take it.
