Dose anyone have a good/ cheap and legal !, way to dispose of silage pit tyres, some of ours are getting past their best and need to have a tidy up. we are in Devon so anyone in the southwest would be useful.

ring your local big tyre firm or have a word with your local garage.
I pay between £1 to £1.20 plus vat per tyre for my garage

Greenaway recycling, South Brent, no fuss will take plastic at the same time, don't know current price but was best option when we left tenancy.

I had a load of old tyres disposed of (legitimately I might add ) recently and car tyres cost me £1-30 each, plus VAT. Lorry tyres were £7.

Our local recycling centre used to take them for free, but only 4 at a time, still if you were passing daily for a few weeks...

Got rid of some last year with national tyre recycling from the midlands all sorts of sizes and some really old heavy one's.
Put two new 7 50 16's on the tractor couple of weeks back and they charged a tenner each for disposal.

A second for Greenaway's, they take mine when they collect the rest of the waste plastic etc. Not sure on cost but it was £150 ton for the first ton and £125 ton after that for all of it.
