Seagulls pecking at wrapped bales

We get them pecking and standing on bales as the fall out of the wrapper. It’s a complete pain. Might wrap at the stack this year. Wrap colour makes no difference although I have heard of using 1 green and 1 black roll

Colour doesn’t seem to make adifference. Rooks peck a small, neat hole. Seagulls are worse & appear to rip the wrap open.

Ifarmwefarm YouTube man paints the tops with white crosses and dots. I was wondering about two different colours of wrap on the wrapper at the same time to create stripes? Crows in the field get ours. They are tipped on end so the wrap is a bit thicker. I’m hauling now and there must be 500 plus crows.

In the interest of not blowing up my mind, I've edited the thread title as I too struggled with baked seagulls (they also don't half sh!t when minded)

If this is in the stack, place some old tyres on top layers.

If it's around the field where they've been dropped.....stop doing it that way!
