Had one. Used it for about 2 years then gave up with it. Not the greatest tool, air locks, grease leaks and poor battery life. Spend a bit more on a proper Milwaukee, Dewalt or Makita grease gun. Would be a far better investment!

Same here. Not the best. Been sitting on the shelf for 3 - 4 years now. Battery was rubbish and just gave up after not a lot of use

I only have experience of the Milwaukee, which I got as the Agri mech used one so thoughts were he usually buys good reliable kit...Used daily for the last year, never let me down once. Most power tools, the manufacturers will change the battery type as a when, so for the odd power tool, best in class is my mantra.

I got a new lithium ion battery for our sealey gun and it has transformed it. Originals were Ni-cad iirc and were useless. Also put a decent g coupler on it.

Are they really leak free, as that is what gets my goat with grease guns - so would be a favourable tool for me if it doesn't leak when hanging in storage.

Costs vary a lot for them though - skf price is 🤪

There are a few models but the 14volt one is all you need, there is SKF versions too exactly the same but cost more. Allube Ltd is were you want to go for one. All guns leak a little IMO if left a long time, the oil in the grease seems to find its way out of every conceivable place! if i have any leakage during storage though its normally just a bit out the end of the pipe.

The optional manual relief valve is a must have, it will allow you to release the pressure in the pipe if you have a blocked nipple, otherwise you will damage the coupler or the nipple getting it off.

My original gun was really old mark 1 version, maybe 15 years old? i gave it to a local lad 12 months ago and he loves it, i replaced it with a new one exactly the same but lithium battery.

Milwaukee is very good

Tried a friends and don't like it, Much prefer the shape of the Alemite and the milwaukees have a weak plastic cog in them that fails if you get a lot of blocked nipples like i often do on handlers. No issues with blockages on the Alemite it just stalls out and never breaks anything or i did once blow a hose. Dont think there is an option of a relief valve to screw in to the head of the milwaukee either, so when it does stall out on a blocked nipple you have no way to get the thing off, for me i hate all them G coupler type things so there not a fix for getting it off either.
