I believe a farm is a beautiful thing, my favourite time is the break of dawn the song birds sing.
I walk with pride with detector and spade in hand, I am always lost in thought of what secrets are lost beneath the land.
I think of old time paths and ancient battles across the golden fields, from a farmer tending to his fields to a warrior charging with the weapon he yields.
It is a passion and pleasure that's hard to be measured to search for history you see, I get the greatest feeling to unravel the mysteries that is when I feel most free.
When people talk of treasure some get quiet confused as most days with detecting ends with just muddy boots, buttons, buckles and crusted coins is the most common of loots.
There are sometimes when the soil reveals silver or gold, when the good days comes I share what is owed.
A farmers land is his livelihood of this I am very aware, I always follow all the rules and treat the land with care.
I wanted to find a different way to ask to ask the farming community with the hobby always being under such scrutiny.
