Tent type arrangements?

Basically grue at the idea of roofing and then storing dung!!!!

Any sensible options?

Polybuild? There are various ads in Farmers Weekly for a firm that had good pictures of a concrete clamp with a poly roof over it.

I used to muck out a local Genus bull farm. They did their sums & worked out that it was cheaper to build a covered yard and clamp to store muck than it was to have an outside heap on concrete and have to deal with the run off with a much bigger tank. They were short of land area and did everything by the book. Lovely muck - stuffed with worms by the time we cleared the heap once/year.

Yes, those look good. But, I'll admit that, after visiting a friend's place the other day, I'm playing with idea of a bit of hard-standing / concrete and a permanent set-up in four or five fields. It works very well for him and well heighted rails mean the cattle stay out but calves can get in too if required... It's never simple...
