My husband and I (26 yrs and 30 yrs old) and our two sons (10 yrs and 2 yrs old) are seeking the opportunity to work for/ alongside a retiring farmer or estate with long-term aim to lease or buy the farm. We are sheep farmers – we own our house but rent all of our land - and have our own flock of texel sheep and lambs and my husband has 10 years experience in dairy farming also – plus various contract farming including sheering, fencing, and tractor-work, and also self-employed building and gardening/ landscaping work. We are currently based in Bedfordshire – but willing to move anywhere within roughly a three hour radius. If anyone can offer any opportunity or help/advice or point me in the right direction it would be very much appreciated, thank you. Charlotte

Good luck, plenty in your position, my self and my wife included looking to do similar things as you! Beware of those who will take advantage of your keenness!

If you are not already, being a member of the Tenant Farmers Association is the best money you'll spend
